Imaging Services
Diagnostic Imaging That Supports Preclinical Insight, Precision Dosing, and Translational Science
At Envol Biomedical, imaging isn’t a standalone service—it’s a cross-functional capability that enhances every study we run. Whether we’re guiding surgical procedures, evaluating biologic responses, or monitoring colony health, our diagnostic imaging solutions provide clarity, confidence, and continuity at every stage of drug development.
We offer a full suite of in-house and collaborative imaging modalities, all integrated seamlessly into our GLP and non-GLP study workflows to support pharmacology, toxicology, PK, and discovery-stage programs.

Our Imaging Modalities
We offer both direct and partner-enabled access to a wide range of imaging technologies:
In-House Modalities
- Ultrasound
- X-ray
- Fluoroscopy
These tools are used routinely in surgical support, pregnancy monitoring, renal function evaluation, cardiovascular screening, and more.
Partner-Enabled Modalities
- MRI
- CT and high-resolution CT
- PET/CT
- CTA
- DXA (Dual-energy X-ray Absorptiometry)
These services are provided through trusted collaborators but presented to sponsors as part of a fully integrated Envol program. We intentionally do not differentiate vendor-sourced vs. internal imaging on the front end—ensuring a seamless experience for clients.
Real-World Examples of Imaging in Action
We’ve integrated imaging into a diverse range of client programs:
- CNS Surgical Support
MRI used to guide thalamic infusion procedures with real-time anatomical validation - Metabolic Disease Models
DXA scanning employed to track fat loss and body composition following therapeutic intervention - Cardiovascular Aging Studies
High-resolution CT used to assess vascular health in aged NHPs for early-phase biotech studies - Renal and Reproductive Monitoring
Ultrasound used for renal blood flow imaging and pregnancy verification in colony animals
These examples represent only a small portion of the diagnostic possibilities imaging enables at Envol.
Imaging as a Cross-Functional Capability
Just like our Core Laboratory and Surgical Services, imaging at Envol is best understood as an enabling function—used strategically across study types to improve insight, reduce variability, and accelerate outcomes.
Applications include:
- Surgical guidance for accurate dosing or sample collection
- Phenotype characterization in disease models (e.g., aged animal cardiovascular screening)
- Drug efficacy evaluation, including imaging-validated outcomes
- Safety/tox assessment (e.g., organ function, morphology)
Why Sponsors Choose Envol for Imaging Support
✅ Imaging embedded in study design—not tacked on after the fact
✅ Full integration with pharmacology, tox, and PK workflows
✅ Access to advanced modalities without operational friction
✅ Proven use in regulatory studies and peer-reviewed research
✅ In-house capabilities for fast, flexible diagnostics
Imaging helps our clients move forward with greater precision, stronger data packages, and reduced study risk.
